My name is Mackenzie Wheeless. I am 10 years old. I love to do things for charity. I raise money for the animal shelter by makings crafts and selling them at adoption fairs. I plan to write books about this to encourage people to do the same thing. I do other things for charity, too. When I learned to crochet I started to make baby beanies. These are donated to the hospital for toddlers with cancer and newborn babies. Then I thought of making scarves for homeless shelters. I also be making afghans for the senior homes. Finally my mom was making hats for teens and kids with cancer. I am helping her, too.
The crafts I make usually have yarn in them. I crochet, which is a way of art with a needle and a skein of yarn. I also use a crochet hook to make ruffled scarves. These are made to sell to make money for the animal shelter. These scarves require a special type of yarn that is like a net. I also make potholders, place mats, and coasters. The final thing that I like to craft are creations with my rainbow loom and rubber bands.
I am a black belt candidate in Taekwondo. This summer I will be testing for my black belt. This means that I will be able to test for a collar. When I get a collar I will be able to help lead class. I love doing Taekwondo. The school that taught me is called AIM. They have really nice instructors. I would like to give thanks to the two main instructors that have given me self-confidence through out my journey! Their names are Mr. and Mrs. Word! I love learning with them at AIM Teakwondo!
When I grow up I would like to be a dolphin trainer and an author. After I pass away I would like to be the subject of one of the "Who Was" books. I would work part time as an author while I am still a dolphin trainer.
No matter what you do or want to do, follow your dream. Make it come true. Work hard, Study hard, Practice hard.
